Taking several pages from GTA’s playbook, getting into a cab will let you pick up fares, minigames abound in arcades, weapons need to be bought, and rampage locations can be found to blast away at people. But the open-world shenanigans you can get into are far more interesting than many of the missions. The parody nature of the game – this game is a parody, did you know that? Because they’ll tell you at every opportunity in case you’ve forgotten – comes in with follow stages, like when you need to track someone moving so slowly in their car that you need to walk. These sorts of top-down open world games mostly have missions like driving a person to a spot, shooting up people, and other tropes we’ve all experienced. From there, you meet up with Doc Choc to repair a time machine and get back to your own time, all while running missions, collecting things, driving over people, and generally creating mischief. Starting in 1985 Theftropolis, RCRDX has PLAYER committing felonies with his crime boss Jester – until a bank robbery escape sends you to the year 20XX. And the new DX inclusions – reworked missions, new letterboxing, and a host of other changes and modes – will make old fans want to come back. It’s everything you wanted back then, with a fair amount of extra gameplay enjoyability to spare. Retro City Rampage’s gameplay is what 15 years of game design evolution will do to a relatively simple top-down like the original GTA. When we discovered cheat codes, it was like someone turned on a light in a dark room. We compared scores in hushed tones at our lockers. We split custody of it like a divorced family – I got it during the week, he got it on weekends. All we had to do was pool our money together to buy it. Rumored to have been banned all over the world, anecdotally responsible for people stealing cars and running over Hare Krishnas, and there it was. On the shelf in front of us was the game that would start a revolution – it was Grand Theft Auto. Over 15 years ago, I stood in an EBGames (ask your parents). Once you turn over all cards successfully, the achievement will unlock.PLATFORM(S): PC (tested), Wii, PS3/4, 360, 3DS, Vita I will try to update the solution afterwards as I find the other variations but even one will be helpful since once that one pops up, you are guaranteed the achievement (and there really are only about maybe a dozen setups). Doing it normally would require a lot of luck because if you make a wrong match 3 times in one game, it's game over.Īnyway, keep playing the mini-game over and over until you get a setup with 2 heart icons as the first two cards on top left. Therefore, I have written down one of the setups so that when you get that one, you will easily be able to win and get the achievement. There are several variations of card setups but it is NOT totally random. It is pretty much the classic card game Concentration / Memory (which in this instance is actually spoofing the Super Mario Bros 3 mini-game). In the casino, press Y at the front of the left green table for the game "Peek Memory (Easy)". This way you can re-load your save if you are out of money while going for this achievement (which may happen if you do it in story mode where you don't start with $999 million). Once inside the casino, I would first recommend saving the game from your pause menu. The casino has a green awning with spade icons on either side of it. It is located to the left of the Spray 4 Pay shop, and to the right of Ice Defect Brooms, and below the basketball courts. The Spades to Steal Casino can be found at the very bottom middle of the map. You will want to head all the way to the very bottom of the map. After you have a decent amount of money, pause the game and you will see a full map of the city. The best way to make some quick money is to steal a car (press Y to hop in when near one) and run over pedestrians collecting coins as you kill them. If you are doing this in story mode though, you will need some money since it is $100 coins for one spades game. I did this in story mode but it is actually even easier in free roam mode since you start out with $999,999,999.
